Bealtaine Bark

Foraging and baking are two wonderful ways to engage all of our senses in the wild.

We have come up with this wonderful activity that combines both. Bealtaine bark is a delicious and healthy snack that can be made with foraged flowers, that is packed with vitamins and is super fun to make!

When foraging we get to use our senses sight, sound, touch and taste, helping us be present in the moment.

How to grow slow

Schools out for Summer and without the normal routine, we often see our screen time increasing, as does the number of times we hear the phrase “I’m bored!”

Being bored makes us feel restless. Which can be uncomfortable feeling especially when we tend to live a life that has every day, meal and hour scheduled.

But studies have shown that boredom is a valuable psychological state to learn to navigate.

It helps build resilience, creative thinking and agency.

We have designed our Bored Game to get off screens this summer and get outdoors to grow slow.

Print this beautifully designed game and let the boredom begin!
